Runescape Party Hat Economy
Runescape phat is a short way of saying runescape party hat.You'll see this said a lot when discussing runescape with people. They are coveted items that are VERY hard to come by, and when you do find a seller, they are extremely expensive.
Runescape phats tend to cost upwards of 100 million gold, sometimes they go even higher.
Actually, if the economy of supply and demand is working correctly in runescape (It will be), then the price should always increase forever, or at least until there are none left.
Why? Because runescape phats were only dropped at a runescape holiday event, I believe you could get them from Christmas crackers. However, that event has now ended, and no monsters drop phats.
So, the only way you will ever get a runescape phat is by purchasing them from another player, or being extremely lucky and they drop it in the wilderness because they're stupid enough to wear it.
That means that there will never be more than there are now, however, what if someone drops their phat and loses it? There is 1 less phat in circulation, meaning the price will rise accordingly. Since there are many silly people, it's likely that people wil continuously lose them and in the end they will be so expensive that no one will be able to afford them, or they have more brains than money, which is probably a good thing :)
