Runescape Christmas Event Guide
Hello loyal Runescape-Tip.com newsletter subscribers. I thought I'd treat you all before Christmas.I've asked Bobbyjoe143 a highly respected forum mod to write a guide to the new Christmas event. It should help you complete it from start to finish.

Ok, to do the Christmas event, you need to take a boat from port Sarim to Karamja (talk to the sailors in blue, and pay 30 gp to get on the boat).
Walk west from the boat once you land on Karamja, just past the banana plantation, you will see a little jetty that has 10 large cages, and a werewolf wearing a Santa type outfit (his name is shanty claws).
Talk to him and he will explain about children being childernapped by gublinchs' (monsters). he will tell you that they really don't like the cold, and that to capture some of them you will need to gather some snowballs to weaken them.
When you have "captured" ten, he wants you to return and place them in cages, after which he will reward you.
Go south west from shanty claws to find a very snowy area, there are piles of snow that you can collect snowballs from, just stand there collecting until you have around 60-90 (this doesn't take long). when you have the amount of snowballs you need, go to the cave entrance close by (it has an exclamation mark (!) on the mini map).
There you will see the gublinches, wield your snowballs, and pelt the gublinches, after 3-4 hits, they turn into a pile of shards, pick them up, and repeat until you have 10 of them.
Return to where shanty claws is and place all the gublinches in the cages, then talk to shanty claws for your reward(s).
If you are free to play, you will only receive a festive hat (reindeer antlers with a red nose) this has a little special to it, whist wearing, go into your equipment menu and right click on the hat, then choose operate, you will be pleased
If you are a member however, you will also receive an autumn tree (basically a Christmas tree) that you can place in the garden of your player owned house. if you feel that you have placed it wrong, you can dig it up and replace it elsewhere. (you also receive the reindeer hat).
As with any other holiday drops, if you lose them, Diango in Draynor market will replace them for you if you go see him.
